What most people seem to forget about taxidermy is that it takes a lot of time to do right and that it is a form of art. Hours of work and study go into a piece, and it’s not rare to find pieces that involve more than 40 hours of work.
If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right. Why pay less for a skin is not treated against moths and bugs. It won’t last you as long as a professional mount would. Why pay less only to receive something that will always have a strange smell to it or a dirty look? These things may all seem like unnecessary details, but we assure you that these all contribute to a lengthened “life” if done right.
